The Author's Thoughts On

Over Powered

Crafting the World

Over Powered was kind of created as a response to Endred (which P. J. Daniels wrote first but published later).  Being the second attempt at LitRPG, Over Powered used a less serious tone for the story, and really delved into the harem style, isekai style, and gamelit style, he found so fascinating , in many Japanese manga and anime.

"I really wanted to recreate the funny, over-dramatic tone of anime, and Endred didn't really live up to that. It took its own path, which is fine, but I wanted something different for Over Powered." - P. J. Daniels

Following the pattern, he thought up a character that would look like he came straight out of an anime. To do this, he had to make him ridiculous. Thus, Victor was born.

Victor died in his world, while saving a woman on the street. He met God in a surreal if not slightly comical scene where God sent him to another world to be a hero.

After arriving in said fantasy world, he quickly realized he was not his usual self--he had been upgraded. This power is first showcased with his killing an Ogre and saving a Princess in chapter one. From there on, it just gets more and more crazy, seemingly trying to top the previous displays of power.

Just keep in mind, this was designed to be taken lightly, so don't go in expecting Stephen King twists and turns.
